Bellarmine Baseball Camps
The Bellarmine Baseball coaching staff would like to invite you to participate in their 2015 Winter Baseball Camps. These camps provide an opportunity for you to learn and develop your skills under the personal attention of the Knights Baseball Staff. Fundamentals will be stressed through individual and group instruction combined with drill work to help each player become the best he can be. Team fundamentals will also be stressed in order to teach kids more than just a specific skill but more importantly, how to play the GAME of baseball.
Head Coach Larry Owens has over 22 years of baseball coaching experience at the collegiate and professional level with the last seven years being with the Chicago White Sox. Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Terry Davis has over 12 years of baseball coaching experience at the collegiate level and will instruct kids on how to develop the skills to play college baseball. Please see tabs to the left for the bios of the Camp Staff.

Youth Skills Camp/All Star Hitting Camp: The Skills Camp, on a basic Baseball 101 level, will break down the offensive and defensive fundamentals necessary to become an all around player. Campers will learn from the Bellarmine Baseball Coaching Staff, current players, as well as area high school coaches.
The All-Star Hitting Camp in the afternoon will be entirely geared towards hitting. We will cover all fundamental physical aspects of the swing as well as dive into the mental side of hitting a bit with some of the older guys. The Knights Coaching Staff is looking forward to a full day of baseball with the young guys!
High School Camp Showcase: This showcase camp will provide an opportunity for high school baseball players (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 graduates) to demonstrate their skills and talents as well as learn and develop new skills under the personal attention of the new Bellarmine Coaching Staff. There will be sessions of individual instruction, skill development, team fundamentals and player evaluation.
Players will be evaluated in the following areas: running, arm strength, exit velocities, defensive and offensive skills. Pitchers will throw live bullpen sessions; while catchers will be evaluated in pop times, defensive skills, and offensive skills. Infielders and outfielders will be graded on their defensive skills, arm strength, and offensive skills.
Bellarmine Baseball Camps have a no refund policy, which included weather related postponements.
* Although every effort will be made to keep the camp on schedule, the Bellarmine University Baseball coaching staff reserves the right to change the schedule, format or any other detail of the camp for any reason. Because of the unpredictable nature of weather and game length (to name a couple), the times listed above are estimates and should only be used as such. If games can be played they will be controlled to an extent where pitch counts do not become excessive and at-bats and defensive innings are distributed as evenly as possible. Changes in the camp schedules as deemed necessary by the baseball coaching staff are not grounds for a partial or full refund.
